Emergency Security Response Equipment &Training

Every yishuv has a Emergency Response Team, or a Kitat Konennut, made up of volunteers trained to prevent and respond to terrorist attacks. This group, which is on call 24 hours every day, is vital to a yishuv’s security because they are in the position to prevent, as well as being the first to respond to an attack. One Israel Fund provides funding for the teams’ defense equipment including portable search lights, communication devices, rescue ladders and bulletproof vests and helmets. In addition, One Israel Fund organizes annual two week training retreats to keep the individuals on each team sharp.
